ABOUT THIS ITEM
9x12” Original Oil Painting on Artefex Linen Panel. This is an original painting I completed in 2024. As I walked through the produce section of my nearest grocery store, I spotted a beautiful spaghetti squash. Out of the bunch, this one stood out for its smooth and bright yellow/orange tones, so I immediately knew, it had to be painted. I then searched around for any other vegetables that would complement the scene. That’s when I spotted a bag of chestnuts. Their velvety skin and rich brown tones, made it a no-brainer. The remaining of the composition was a pursuit for an “old time” feel and look. The patterned background was the detail that ultimately brought it all together.
